Ordering goods

We confirm orders weekdays Monday to Friday from 9am to 2pm.
Orders placed outside these hours will be confirmed within 2-3 days.

You can edit the contents of the shopping cart right up to the time of the order, and you can check the contents and price of the products on an ongoing basis. You are responsible for ensuring that the customer information you enter as part of a purchase is correct.

Conclusion of the agreement

When you place an order, we will first send you an order receipt by e-mail.
Please note that this receipt is not an order confirmation and that we are not bound by the order at that time.
The final agreement between you and Bernstorffsminde is only concluded when Bernstorffsminde sends you an order confirmation by e-mail confirming that the order is binding. Here you can see the shipping costs, we will notify you before we ship the item.


Payment can be made by bank transfer, the order is initiated when payment is received.


We aim to deliver your order as soon as possible, the delivery time may vary from product to product, but will be stated in the order confirmation sent after your purchase. If your order contains products with different delivery times, for example when ordering a stock item and a custom-made item or a backordered item, your order will be delivered in parts.

If there are production delays or other delays in delivery, this may affect the delivery time. We will endeavor to contact you as soon as possible in case of delays.

Pallet and furniture
For pallet and furniture shipments, you will be contacted by our carrier before delivery.
It is your responsibility that the order can be received. Delivery to the curb. When delivering with a freight forwarder, an adult recipient must always be present who is authorized by you to acknowledge receipt and check the goods. When you receive your order, it is important that you check that the goods are the correct ones and that there is no visible damage. If everything is as expected, the carrier will ask you to acknowledge receipt.
If the packaging is damaged or shows other visible signs of damage, you should only acknowledge receipt on the consignment note with reservations for any damage to the contents or refrain from accepting the goods and ask the driver to take them back.
If an item turns out to be damaged or defective after unpacking, please contact our sales support on +45 62 26 10 10 or who will help you find a solution. For proof purposes, please contact our sales support as soon as possible and no later than 5 days after receipt. However, this does not deprive you of your rights in relation to complaints under the Danish Sale of Goods Act.

Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days.
The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you or another person of your choice (not including the carrier) takes physical possession of the goods.
If you have ordered several items in one order and we are unable to deliver the goods at the same time, the withdrawal period starts when you take physical possession of the last item.
If the deadline expires on a public holiday, Saturday, Constitution Day, Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve, the deadline is extended to the following weekday.

Exceptions to the right of withdrawal

There is no right of withdrawal for the purchase of goods that are made to your specifications or that have been given a distinct personal touch.

Return of goods and return costs

If you have canceled the purchase of a product, you must send or deliver the product to Bernstorffsminde A/S, Hundtofte 14d, 5771 Stenstrup without undue delay and no later than 14 days after you have notified us that you wish to cancel your purchase. The deadline is met if you return the goods before the expiry of the 14 days.
Goods cannot be sent cash on delivery or without delivery.
You must pay for the return of the goods yourself.
Goods such as furniture must be returned with Furniture Transport and cannot be returned by regular mail.

Refund of money in case of withdrawal

When you withdraw, we will refund the payment of the Furniture but not the freight.
We will refund the amount without undue delay and in any event no later than 14 days from the date we have received your notice of withdrawal. However, we may withhold the amount until we have received the goods back or until you have submitted documentation that the goods have been returned.

Condition of the item on return and packaging

You may normally examine the item in the same way as you would in a shop, but you may not use it. If you have used the item in a way that is not allowed or permitted in a shop and we cannot sell it again, or cannot sell it at full price again, you should expect us to deduct the depreciation in value from your refund.
If the item no longer has a commercial value, we will not refund the purchase price.

You must return the goods in the original packaging. The packaging may be opened, but not destroyed. If the packaging is missing or damaged, this may constitute a reduction in value for which you are liable.
You should also ensure that the item is properly wrapped when you return it. You bear the risk of the package/goods until we receive them. Therefore, save the shipping receipt.

Complaints - if there is something wrong with the product

The rules of the Danish Sale of Goods Act apply to the purchase of goods. You have a 2-year warranty if the product has a defect. A defect is, for example, a manufacturing or material defect or incorrect information about the product. On the other hand, ordinary wear and tear or damage you have caused yourself is not a defect.

If the goods are defective and you complain in due time, you have the right to have the goods repaired or replaced in the first instance. If this cannot be done or not within a reasonable time, you may be entitled to a refund or a reduction in price, depending on the circumstances.

If you discover a defect, you must notify us within a reasonable time. We recommend that you make a complaint as soon as possible, especially in the case of transportation damage. However, if you complain within 2 months after the defect is discovered, it is always within a reasonable time, but freight damage is within 5 business days. If the complaint is justified, we will reimburse your reasonable and necessary shipping costs. Therefore, save your receipt.

If you want to complain to us about a defect, we ask you to provide as much detail as possible about the problem. This is not a requirement, but it makes it easier for us to find the defect and minimizes the processing time for the complaint. We recommend that you send an email to with your order number and pictures of the defect.

We make reservations for price errors, typing errors, sold-out items and force majeure, as well as delivery failures from our suppliers.

Although we have made great efforts to indicate colours and qualities as accurately as possible, we cannot guarantee that your monitor will reproduce the colour correctly due to differences in screen resolution, etc.
